Teen Anxiety

  • Does your child or teen seem to worry about everything?
  • Has your child’s or teen’s anxiety stopped them for participating in important events?
  • Does your child or teen suffer from frequent stomach aches, headaches or muscle pain
  • Does your child or teen worry excessively about making sure their assignments in school are perfect?
  • Does your child or teen panic when things don’t go their way?

Teen Anxiety

If you answered yes to any of these questions, your child may be suffering from anxiety. Anxiety is often somatic in nature, meaning that it presents as stomach aches or headaches that seem to have no biological cause. It is normal for adolescents to worry and be self conscious. However if their worries or self consciousness stops them from being able to function, your child/teen may be suffering from anxiety.

At Campbell Teen & Family Therapy, Inc. we are here to help! Our therapists are experts at treating anxiety and have eclectic training. Since we are trained in many different modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), we can get to know your child/teen’s specific needs and develop a treatment plan tailored to the individual! It is not a one size fits all!
