Expertise:
Stephanie is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. Stephanie has worked primarily with teens and young adults through the public school system and local non-profit agencies. She was trained in the 7 Challenges (drug and alcohol counseling for adolescents). She is trained and currently in the certification process with EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She is active in the community and participates in different leadership roles, including ones for moms with young kids. She also enjoys writing therapeutic articles for local high school newspapers.
Stephanie therapeutic style is integrative. She draws heavily from EMDR Therapy, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She loves the brain and looking at the person as a whole. She is dedicated to unlocking the long-term healing that is accessible using empirically reliable sources, such as EMDR Therapy. Stephanie has a passion for young people and appreciates the opportunity to support them and their families navigate the sensitive season of life they are in.
Stephanie has worked for non-profit agencies including The Bill Wilson Center, Seneca Center, Habitat for Humanity, San Jose Family Homeless Shelter and Church on the Hill. Stephanie has also provided mental health counseling on two school campuses for Santa Clara Unified School District. She has a heart for the at-risk demographic and provides pro bono therapy through A Home Within, to ensure that former foster youth also have access to quality long-term mental health care.
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She is a Bay Area native.
