Miriam Barraza, graduated with from California Institute of Integral Studies with a Masters in Counseling Psychology, emphasis in Somatic Psychotherapy. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 2016 Miriam became a Registered Associate Marriage Family Therapist. In 2022 she became a licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT 136061). In 2016 Miriam trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and skilled in treating trauma.

Her variety of skills and training enables her to effectively treat a wide range of clients. She completed two years of post-graduate work in advanced psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley and pursued training in Family Based Treatment working with teens and families with eating disorders. Prior Miriam worked as a geriatric social worker within the community and with adolescents a College Tracks. Miriam continues to work with adolescents, individuals, couples, and families in her private practice in Oakland, CA.
