Expertise:
Katie Nice serves as our Clinical Director here at CTFT. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been working with children adolescents and families for over 12 years. She graduated from JFK University with a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology and has spent much of her career providing services to clients, supervision to other therapists and engaging in management and leadership at non-profit agencies in Santa Clara County. Most recently, she was the Associate Director of Family and Children’s Programs at AACI, a community based non-profit contracted with Santa Clara County that provides behavioral health services to clients with medi-cal insurance.
Katie believes that therapy with children and teens should always include parents/guardians, at some point and in some capacity, because this leads to the most meaningful and lasting changes in the entire family system. Caring for a young one as they face the challenges of adolescence is incredibly difficult and parents ultimately want the best for their children. Sometimes challenges in the family can make it hard for parents to see what is right in front of them; the amazing kaleidoscope of a kid whom they are lucky enough to love. Katie looks forward to working with your child and your family to normalize support for mental health, improve communication and attachment and bring laughter and peace back into your home.
