Treina (she/her) is a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor under the supervision of Ingrid Higgins, LMFT #43950 & Gwen Chiaramonte, LCSW #10937. She is passionate about working with children, teens, and families. She aims to help her clients change their narrative of what they can achieve, help them see themselves through the lens of their inner strengths, and build cohesiveness in their everyday relationships.
Treina has provided advocacy, crisis support, and coaching to parents and caregivers to help strengthen parent-child relationships both in school settings and community-based organizations. Treina has worked with various populations including LGBTQIA+ youth and transitional aged youth. She strongly values the unique cultural challenges of the populations she has worked with and draws from various therapeutic approaches to address the unique needs of her clients.
Treina utilizes approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art-Based Therapy, Play-Based Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and mindfulness to help clients deepen their understanding of their challenges, build coping skills, and work towards resiliency. While using these modalities, she aims to collaborate with her clients throughout their therapy journey to ensure that they reach their desired goals.
Treina shows up for her clients authentically, without judgement, and shows genuine curiosity towards their unique interests to create a safe and welcoming space. She also aims to create unique interventions to better connect with her clients and guide them towards a place of healing. She values delivering quality care and vital support to those she works with and looks forward to the opportunity to utilize her skills and knowledge to promote emotional wellbeing for her clients.
