Owner and Founder of Campbell Teen & Family Therapy, Inc.
Expertise:
Ingrid Higgins is the Owner and Founder of Campbell Teen & Family Therapy, Inc., where she leads a team of professionals dedicated to supporting adolescents and families through complex emotional and behavioral challenges. With a deep commitment to helping youth and families heal, Ingrid brings over two decades of experience to her work as a therapist and clinical leader.
She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with honors from Santa Clara University. This intensive 78-quarter-unit program is designed for students meeting the California licensing requirements for Marriage and Family Therapy. Her undergraduate education was completed at Bethany University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Addiction Studies, laying the foundation for her specialization in addiction and mental health.
Ingrid became a Registered Addiction Specialist in 2005, and a year later, she obtained her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 43950). In 2011, she expanded her expertise by becoming a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator. She is also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective modality for treating trauma, which she integrates into her practice to support clients dealing with past abuse and complex PTSD.
Throughout her career, Ingrid has worked in both nonprofit and school-based settings. Her experience includes providing counseling through Future Families and CHAC (Community Health Awareness Council), as well as working on school campuses with PVPSA (Pajaro Valley Prevention and Student Assistance). She also volunteers her time with A Home Within, a national organization providing free therapy to foster youth.
Now in private practice in downtown Campbell, Ingrid continues to serve adolescents, young adults, and families with compassion, skill, and a commitment to positive change.
