​​Sarah Press is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from California State University, Monterey Bay. She focuses on crisis intervention, trauma-focused behavioral therapy and culturally congruent, family-centered care. Sarah’s training and professional work both contribute to equitable access to mental health care for individuals experiencing adjustment to illness including acute, chronic and end-of-life experiences. Sarah had a previous career in radio journalism and holds a Masters of Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz with a double major in History and Environmental Studies (with a concentration in Environmental Justice). 
 
Prior to joining Campbell Teen and Family Therapy Group, Sarah trained and worked at Stanford Hospital ICU, Dignity Health Care Management Department, Hospice of Santa Cruz and the Shiley Institute for Palliative Care.
 
Sarah's therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from various disciplines in order to develop a unique therapeutic relationship and treatment plan best suited to you and your family. Sarah incorporates modalities including narrative therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and palliative care practices to develop warm, supportive and productive therapeutic relationships with the individuals and families she works with.
