Brenda Salcedo, LCSW
Brenda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Campbell Teen & Family Therapy, Inc. She provides individual and family therapy to teens, young adults and parents. She enjoys working with teens and helping them overcome any difficulties they might be facing. Brenda supports CTFT’s mission as an LGBTQIA+ friendly practice and provides a safe place, free from judgement regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
Brenda’s approach to therapy is eclectic, she uses a variety of therapeutic disciplines that can be individualized to the needs of her clients. She uses art and play in therapy to help teens or children to tell their stories. She also uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques. Regardless of the technique she uses, she always provides a warm, supportive and safe environment for all her clients.
Prior to joining CTFT, Brenda worked for a community health center as a mental health therapist. In addition to providing therapy at CTFT, she currently works in a public school setting in a variety of different roles including, providing individual and group counseling to elementary through high school students. Brenda is familiar with the school system and is able to support families navigating the difficulties that their child or teen may face in the learning and social aspects in school.
