Ayako is a bilingual Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (#15138). Since she spent the first half of her life in Japan and the second half in the U.S. as an immigrant, Ayako has first hand experience of living in two distinctively different cultures and a significant amount of compassion and appreciation for those with different cultural backgrounds.

Ayako creates a safe space so that you can experience being seen, heard, and accepted. She knows from her personal experience that exploring what you love and genuinely desire often leads to healing and empowering yourself. As she gets to know you better, she will introduce a variety of creative activities to help you find the real you and learn how to maintain that authenticity in everyday life. As somebody who grew up in Japan, Ayako may give you an origami lesson as a therapeutic coping skill.

Ayako is a neurodiversity advocate and provides ND-affirming support. She strongly hopes that autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other neurodivergent qualities will be the opportunity instead of negative labels to discover and validate the strengths and uniqueness each person already has. She believes what we need the most is a community where we can accept, understand and embrace differences. As a mother herself, Ayako is also passionate about helping mothers with challenging issues such as postpartum anxiety and depression. She has received training from PSI and 2020 Mom.
